Coronavirus (COVID-19) - E3 2020 Cancelled

Some days ago the news about the E3 2020 being cancelled due to the coronavirus came out. The coronavirus is making many events, movies, series, and video games get cancelled or posponed. So how are we affected by the E3 2020 cancelation? How are the game going to be announced? Here I will explain what will happen with the release date of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and the announcements that were probably planned for the E3.

E3 2020 Cancelled

Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) many events are getting cancelled worldwide as a prevention measure to avoid the propagation, and between them is the E3 2020, which would happen between June 9th and June 11th. This is the official statement:

It was very likely that new details about this game were going to be shown during the E3. We are probably getting an online event to see all the new info. The other alternative is that WB Games shares everything in their social media.

Release Date

So about the release date, it might get delayed. But how can a game without release date be delayed? Even though it doesn't have one, due to the quarantine caused by the coronavirus, it's very likely that the TT Games employees will need more time to work on the game. The headquarters are in the United Kingdom, which has more that 1,140 cases. For that reason the employees may be unable to continue developing the game. I expect that the game will be released by the end of the year.
